Okay, maybe he doesn't have the special genetic marker, but it's cool that he sees relevant scenes from the past in dreams with Sanjog Iyer. His blood is the only known cure for a virus that killed his sister and infects the Haitian in Season Two.

Brian Davis (David Berman) [First in 01x10]
 Telekinesis.

Meredith Gordon (Jessalyn Gilsig) [First in 01x13]
Formerly married to Nathan and mother of Claire, everyone thinks she's dead now, but she survived the fire because she's kinda like Johnny Storm (the human torch).

Kaito Nakamura (George Takei) [First in 01x13, 02x01]
As Hiro's father, he must have some power--perhaps just being able to quickly train a hero when the time is right.

Can instantly take the shape of any other person--in fact more than that, she can project full illusions. At one point, she suggests that the thin body she normally shows might not be her real self, but it is that same thin body she reverts to when she's unconscious.

Daniel Linderman (Malcolm McDowell) [First in 01x18]

Mr. and Mrs. James Walker (Molly's Parents) [Photo in 01x21]
Killed by Sylar in Episode 01x02, Sylar must have taken their powers, though we don't yet know what those powers were.

The One Who's Even Worse Than Sylar
He or she did not appear in Season One, but in the final episode, Molly describes him as worse than the Boogie Man, and there is an implication that he has dragged Sylar's dying body into the sewer. Molly says that she can't think of him because then he'll see her. More is revealed in Season Two [02x04].

Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) [First in 01x01, 02x01]
Claire's father.

Ando Masahashi (James Kyson Lee) [First in 01x01, 02x01]
Hiro's friend. Even if he doesn't have a power, he should.

The daughter of Charles Deveaux and the love object of Peter/Isaac also has a power.

Daniel Linderman Arthur "Dallas" Petrelli Angela Petrelli Kaito Nakamura
Charles Deveaux Bob Bishop Maury Parkman Carlos Mendez

I was wondering who the twelve would be from the young generation. Hiro can be their leader. We'll also have Claire, Peter, Micah, Molly, Sanjog, West, Maya, Alejandro, Monica, Elle(!) and one more to be named!

(Season Two's New Characters)

The Elder Twelve [Photo in 02x04]
These twelve, seen in a photo that Nathan shows to Matt, are the power brokers of the elder hero generation. The group, originated by (now dead) Linderman and Arthur Petrelli--and possibly brought together by Adam Monroe--had original goals to unite those with powers and save the world. But abuses of power by some in the group brought disillusionment and the current day's situation.

Takezo Kensei (David Anders) [First in 02x01]
It's not evident right away, but this drunken Englishman in 17th century Japan can heal just as well as Claire.

Bob Bishop (Stephen Tobolowsky) [First in 02x01]
Mohinder's boss at The Company and one of the Elder Twelve. Bob has the Midas touch, able to turn things (or at least spoons) into gold.

Maya Herrera (Dania Ramirez) [First in 02x01]
Don't make her angry. Without intending to, when she feels threatened or stressed, she emits a virus that is instantly fatal to those around her.

Alejandro Herrera (Shalim Ortiz) [First in 02x01]
Maya's brother and the only known cure for her virus.

West (Nicholas D'Agosto) [First in 02x01]
This boy (Claire's new friend in California) can fly! (just like Claire's biological father).

Nana Dawson (Nichelle Nichols) [First in 02x03]
Possibly D.J.'s mother (and Micah's grandmother). No power seen...yet.

Monica Dawson (Dana Davis) [First in 02x04]
Possibly Micah's cousin in New Orleans can mimic any physical motion she sees, sometimes with more kick than the original.

Maury Parkman (Alan Blumenfeld) [First seen in 02x05]
Matt's father and probably the Boogeyman who is worse than Sylar from Molly's dreams in Season 1. He can read minds, like Matt, and much more such as throwing people into a living nightmare.

Elle Bishop (Kristen Bell) [First in 02x05]
The electric girl who comes looking for Peter in Cork. She next shows up in [02x08] where we very likely find out who her father is.

Adam Monroe [First mentiioned in 02x05]
This mysterious figure is first alluded to in [02x05] when Mohinder sees a file with Adam's name on it at The Company. In the next episode, we learn that Adam is one of the founders of The Twelve, Linderman's mentor and the power behind Matt's father. Could he be Unknown Man #2? It is but a short time later that we learn more.

Carlos Mendez [First named in 02x09]
Named as one of the elder twelve in [02x09]. Possibly Maya's and Alejandro's father.

Suzanne Ammaw [First named in 02x09]
Named as one of the elder twelve in [02x09].

Paula Gramble [First named in 02x09]
Named as one of the elder twelve in [02x09].

Harry Fletcher [First named in 02x09]
Named as one of the elder twelve in [02x09].

Victoria Pratt (Joanna Cassidy) [First focused on in 02x09]
In Season 2, Nathan recognizes the Pratt family name from files in Bob's office. Later [02x09], Matt tries to get Angela to reveal the name of the unknown woman in the photo, and shortly after we see the name Victoria Pratt on a note that Matt has written above the photo. In [02x10], we learn that she was a biological engineer who started the 1977 research on the virus that killed Mohinder's sister and probably created Strain 138.
